Week 2 of the LRX Golf League delivered fireworks and fierce competition as the early-season power rankings shifted dramatically. With two highly anticipated matchups on the tee sheet, teams came out swinging — and the results didn’t disappoint.
Phenomenal 4-Some Remain Undefeated
In the headlining matchup of the week, the Phenomenal 4-Some (Mason and Jason Curtis) faced off against fellow Week 1 winners, the Ball Busters (Cooper Dunbar and Luke Marcello). With both teams tied for first entering the match, the stakes were high — and the Curtis cousins rose to the occasion.
The Phenomenal 4-Some played sharp, calculated golf, showcasing clean ball striking and smart decision-making from start to finish. Their poise under pressure helped them edge out the Ball Busters, who fought hard but couldn’t quite find the momentum to flip the match late.
With the win, the Phenomenal 4-Some move to 2-0, becoming the sole leader of the LRX standings. The Ball Busters fall to 1-1, now tied for second in the league.
Cart Path Connoisseurs Bounce Back
After a tough Week 1 loss, the Cart Path Connoisseurs (Jack Keith and Benjamin Gsell) showed major improvement in their second outing, securing a statement win over Grip It & Rip It Golf Club (Nathan Naccari and Sawyer Barron).
Keith and Gsell looked locked in from the opening tee shot, setting the tone early and maintaining control throughout the round. The win pushes the Connoisseurs to 1-1, joining the Ball Busters in a tie for second place and proving that they’re not to be counted out in the title race.
Meanwhile, Grip It & Rip It slides to 0-2, currently sitting in fourth place. Despite flashes of strong play, Naccari and Barron will need to regroup and find their rhythm as the season rolls on.
