INSIDE LRX: Phenomenal 4-Some Make History in the Rain at Bayou Oaks

Updated: Jul 26

History was made this week at Bayou Oaks at City Park, as the Phenomenal 4-Some became the first team in LRX Golf history to finish a match under par. Beau and Mason Curtis delivered a clinical performance in wet and windy conditions, carding a remarkable one-under par to secure their third straight victory.

The match was played through steady rain, with slick grips, wet fairways, and unpredictable greens challenging both teams from the first hole. But the Phenomenal 4-Some stayed composed, using smart shot selection and great teamwork to rise above the elements. The Curtis cousins leaned on each other and found a rhythm, never letting the weather knock them off their game.

Their opponents, Grip It & Rip It (Maverick Hasenboheler and Nathan Naccari), couldn’t find the same footing. Battling the course and the rain, the team struggled to gain traction, falling behind early and never fully recovering. With this result, they fall to 0-3, staying at the bottom of the league standings.

The Phenomenal 4-Some now sit alone at the top of the leaderboard at 3-0, the only undefeated team remaining. Their under-par round doesn’t just earn them a win—it cements their place in LRX history and sends a clear message to the rest of the league: the road to the championship runs through them.

With the season heating up and every match carrying weight, the pressure is on. Can anyone stop the Phenomenal 4-Some? Or will they keep rewriting the record books?
